With only a few short weeks left before Issy and Shane jet off to Thailand to represent South Africa at the 5th Thai and international martial arts festival, Thaiholics hosted an in-house tournament to give some of the up-and-coming hopefuls as well as those that simply wanted to experience a few rounds in the ring a chance to do just that.

A good crowd gathered at the gym this past weekend to see students don red or blue gloves, get cornered by our two fighters heading to Thailand and be adjudged over 3-round battles in front of their friends and family.

The match-ups were perfect and the fights definitely delivered some bang, sometimes to the surprise of everyone on hand and overall it was an excellent day between the  ropes.

In the end, the red corner walked away with 5 wins to the blue's 2, with individual awards for fight of the night, performance of the night, kick of the tournament and more being handed to prospective recipients in a show of gratitude for their efforts.

A good amount of funding was raised for the fighters and we hope it aids their trip to make it an unforgettable experience.
